  • Rudensky Lab at the University of Washington, Seattle - Home page of the laboratory of Alexander Y. Rudensky. Our research is focused on the development and function of CD4 T lymphocytes and their role in T cell mediated immunity. Ongoing projects include the study of the molecular mechanisms generating MHC class II:peptide complexes, the role of self-peptide:MHC class II complexes in the development of CD4 T cells, and the development and function of regulatory T lymphocytes with an emphasis on the forkhead family transcription factor Foxp3.

  • The NMR Lab - The group is internationally recognized and is well equipped for both NMR spectroscopy and structural computations. We have two spectrometers, VARIAN 600, and Bruker 500, have equipment for four channel operation and pulse field gradients. All personnel involved with NMR structure determination have individual workstations (Silicon Graphics INDY R4400, Suns IPC,1+,ELC,LX,10,ULTRA1, several PC computers) for online data processing, computations and article preparations.

  • The Sinclair lab - We are investigating the causes of common age-associated diseases as well as tumorigenesis and the defenses of tumorigenic cells against current cancer therapies. We use model organisms to make rapid progress in understanding basic cellular mechanisms, then extend these findings to mammals to determine their relevance to human disease.
