Laboratory of Chemistry of Proteolyic Enzymes
- The laboratory is involved in the studies of proteases performing various regulatory functions in intracellular proteolysis (ATP-dependent protease Lon) and protein processing (enteropeptidase, duodenase, HIV-1 protease). Special emphasis is placed on the mechanisms of selective substrate recognition, structures of active sites, role of intermolecular interactions in enzyme functioning, and such a phenomenon as coupling between ATP hydrolysis and proteolysis.
